Taylor Willis MACP, RCC

(She/Her/Hers)

Hi, I’m Taylor. I am passionate about understanding and supporting individuals and couples with their healing journey. I have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). With over 10 years experience working in the mental health field with youth, adults, and couples, I provide individual counselling to young adults and adults, as well as relationship/couples counselling.

While life can be filled with joy, wonder and new experiences, it can also prove to be stressful, anxiety-provoking and incredibly challenging. These situations can impact our self-worth, mood, our relationships with our loved ones, and ability to move through the world. Through providing a safe, non-judgmental space I can help you process and heal from traumatic experiences, identify and build upon your strengths, develop a deeper connection with yourself and others, and live a more meaningful life. I use a collaborative approach to work with you to draw from your expertise on your own life, while guiding you to grow and help you understand yourself better. I use a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach to support you in reaching your goals. I believe in using empirically supported modalities that are tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Some modalities I am trained in and use are:

-IFS (Internal Family Systems)

-EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy)

-EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy)

-Gottman Techniques

-Integrative Sex and Couples Certification Training

-Healing from Sexual Trauma/ Imago Technique

-Trauma Treatment Certification Training

-ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

-Trauma Focused CBT

In the past 10 years I have spent working in the mental health field, I have worked with clients who have experienced past trauma, experience anxiety, struggle with self-esteem and self-compassion, experience challenges with their identity, experience challenges with transitions (ie. changes in career, schooling, relationships), challenges with sex/sexuality, and experience relationship challenges. I provide a safe space that is queer-friendly, neurodivergent affirming, and trauma informed.

When I’m not working as a counsellor, you can find me walking my dog, hiking, kayaking, cooking or reading a book. I also enjoy working out at the gym, travelling and knitting.
